COLOR & APPEARANCE
The heartwood of Olive wood is commonly a cream or yellowish brown, with darker brown or black contrasting streaks. Color will deepen with age, with tones of grey and bronze. Olive is sometimes figured with curly or wavy grain.
Grain is usually slightly interlocked, and sometimes wavy. Uniform medium to coarse texture.
Is not listed in the CITES Appendices, and is reported by the IUCN as being a species of least concern.
